After hunting waterfowl internationally for years, I was excited to find a new place to go that was touted as being lightly hunted but full of sea ducks, puddlers, divers, dabblers and Brant. On Wednesday my long time travel buddy and hunting partner Gary Sampson picked me up and we headed south to New Jersey where we met up with another friend, Don Yarlaski, who lives in New Jersey.

The wind had been blowing so bad the previous 5 days that small craft warnings had been posted but it was blowing itself out, so we decided to go at the last minute. Thursday morning was all we could ask for when we woke up; overcast, light wind and temperature was 26 degrees. We were taken to the blind by the guide and while he put out the decoys (bufflehead, mallard, black and gadwall) we arranged the blind so it was comfortable for all of us. Shooting time didn't disappoint us, as the first two ducks dropped within three minutes of legal time were a Drake Bufflehead and a Drake Hooded Merganser..........the next three hours saw some poor shooting but we managed to bag 25 ducks of seven species along with our limit of Brant. There were Bufflehead, Gadwall, Broadbill, Mallard, Blacks, Hooded Mergansers and more. It was a day to remember.

After lunch we decided to take a break and relax and were looking forward to Friday with anticipation. As Hevi Shot shooters all, my partners were a little down about their shotgun skills but enjoyed burning ammo. Gary shot approximately 50 rounds and Don was at 35 with myself at 25. In our defense we wound up with the clouds lifting and a bright sun right in our faces, with a stiff breeze and ducks at 40 mph making us shoot like beginners (when you shoot this bad even Hevi Shot doesn't help but there is always tomorrow. Being a taxidermist also, we already had over 10 birds that would make great mounts, all feathered out and full of fat, and this was only December 6th.

Friday morning was 28 degrees, very little wind and heavy overcast. We started the day just after legal time with a double, Drake Buffleheads, and it only got better from there, with us taking 22 ducks in just about two hours. With 22 ducks down we had gotten markedly better and as usual, Hevi Shot did what it was suppose to. We shot a total of approximately 39 rounds. I have been using Hevi Shot since it's inception and for anyone

reading this, can tell you, no matter how well you do or don't shoot, you'll shoot less with Hevi Shot, wound less and have more table fare, it puts them down. Everyone that hunts with us uses Hevi Shot and all clients use Hevi Shot and I can assure you in the long run the dogs chase less cripples, and have shorter distance swims.

I recently drew a swan tag for northern utah. I have a Browning Gold Hunter that only accepts 3" shells so I was a little nervous about shooting one of these big birds. I have a lot of experience hunting waterfowl and have been skeptical about your product in the past. I was told about your Dead Coyote shells from a friend and decided to pay the extra money to try these out. Mostley because of my anxiety about being able to ethically knock down one of these 20+ lb. birds. I shot a swan (1 round) at approx. 70 yards and it was dead before it hit the ground! I was amazed! And so were the other hunters that were out that day (I wasn't hunting with them but got plenty of compliments on my long shot, and they all asked what I was using) I'm reccomending your product to everyone I know. It is really nice to see an outdoor product company actually live up to what they advertise (so many don't)! Thanks so much for making my gun a "humane killer" on a bird I would have a hard time knocking down with the "other guys" loads (espically at that distance). Keep up the good work! ps I'm hopefully going on my first turkey hunt this spring and will have Hevi-shot in the old Gold Hunter!

I just returned on Sunday October 14 from Saskatchewan for a mixed bag specklebelly goose/crane shoot in the a.m. and Huns/sharptails in the afternoons.

On our first afternoon upland hunt chasing Huns andsharptails, the coyote pictured below was spooked out of the wash below me by one of my hunting partners, Bob Worrell (second from left). The coyote was running straight up the hill towards me. Then at approximately 40 yards, she for some reason stopped, looked back towards the bottom of the wash and presented me with a shot. I fired 1 shot of 20 ga, 2 /34 inch, #6 shot of HeviShot (which is used on the Huns and sharptails quite effectively) and dropped her STONE DEAD.

It was a site that none of us could believe, and frankly I wouldn't have believed it unless I had done it myself (as I did) or witnessed it. Witnesses to this feat were Launce Gamble (far left in picture), Bob Worrell (second from left) and GeorgeBolton (at far right).

On a separate note, I brought two cases of the Dead Coyote 3" T's and we had no trouble knocking down our limit of cranes and snow geese at ranges from 65 - 90 yards. This confirms my belief about HeviShot in general in that we had clean misses and virtually no "sailers" that we had to retrieve. If you hit them, they came down - period. Our outfitter could not believe the effects of the shot. The specklebellies decoyed beautifully and we took them cleanly with 3 inch, #2 Goose loads.

Heres a picture of Erin's first longbeard. She shot him at 22 yards using the new 1 ounce 2 3/4" 20 guage HEVI-SHOT shell. We heard a gobble from down in a hollar and decided to give him a try. He was gobbling consistantly at a crow so we closed the distance. We got to a flat spot just over the lip of the side and sat down. I clucked a few times on my Primos Lil' Heartbreaker and scratched in the leaves. We never heard him gobble again, but we both thought we heard footsteps down below us. After a few minutes Erin wispered, "Dad, there he is." I looked up to see a tom coming up from our left followed by a second bird. I told Erin to get her gun up and shoot. The first two birds saw her move and started to rubber neck down the other side of the hill. Luckily for us a third turkey didn't really know why the other two were bugging out. He followed the same path as they did. By now Eri n had her gun up and ready. When the tom stepped between two trees she shot and he dropped in his tracks!!! A fourth turkey never made it to the top of the hill and flew back the way they came. Erin's bird weighed about twenty pounds and had a 9.5 inch beard with 3/4 inch spurs. I'm sure glad she was shooting HEVI-SHOT!! Like I say, " If you hit it with HEVI-SHOT, it"s down!!!"

Thanks for great shotgun shells!!!-

Last Sept 06, my son and I went goose hunting on the last day. He loves 12ga Hevi-steel B's and I love 20ga Hevishot # 2's.

The first flock he shot 3 for 3 , which he has done several times this year. Later, He called in a single which passed by our boat just pass arms reach, that I missed by a mile.

After a short lecture on the finer art of wing shooting from my son. On the next flock with my 20 ga, I shot 4 with 3 shots. Thanks again Hevishot it just keeps getting better !!

Everytime I think it can't get no better than this, HEVISHOT shoots through into another dimension ! My son and I drew Swan permits for the State of NC. Chris shot 12ga Hevishot B's and I shot 20ga Hevishot # 2's.The guide knew I was shooting 20ga and he had his share of doubts until the swan folded up like an accordian 40-50 yds out.

Thanks Again !!!!!!
